Clergy & Pastors at St. Mary’s

 

Dean

The Very Rev Jason Selvaraj is the Dean of the Cathedral and oversees the cathedral as a whole.

He has been leading St. Mary’s since 1992 and had previously served in the Church of the Holy Spirit, Ipoh.

He is a graduate of Seminari Theologi Malaysia (STM).  He is married with 3 children.

 

 

Curate

Rev. Dr. Andrew Cheah is the cathedral curate. His main roles are leading our two SMACC congregations and overseeing the small groups ministries of the cathedral. He is a graduate of Moore Theological College and has served at St. Mary’s since 2003. Andrew is married with 2 children.

 

Non-stipendiary clergy

Rev. Davies Sigamoney is a non-stipendiary minister at the cathedral. His main responsibilities are as Honorary Personal Assistant to the Dean, leading the Iban congregation and Bahasa Malaysia congregations, leading various services and pastoral visitation. He is married and has 4 children and 3 grandchildren.

 

 

Rev. David Lim assists the cathedral by preaching and celebrating at traditional English services once a month.

 

Bahasa Malaysia & Iban Pastor

Pastor Iben Arang looks after the Bahasa Malaysia and Iban congregations. He trained at the Malaysian Bible Seminary (MBS) and previously worked with the SIB. He has been at St. Mary’s since October 2006. He is married and has 2 children.

 

Deaconesses

Deaconess Datin Dulcie Abraham leads our Spirituality and Prayer ministry. She is a graduate of Seminari Theologi Malaysia. She is married and has 3 children and 3 grandchildren.

 

Deaconess Yvonne Tan is involved in various cathedral activities including the Stewardship Committee and in teaching a confirmation class. She also works at the Diocesan Office.
